Note 1: identical code on each wing and the engraved code can be found out, still, even if both wingtags are seen incompletely (min. two symbols each tag).
Note 2: note: most tags have -for the time being- three characters.
Note 3: in Spain another project with white tags is running. No details are know yet.
Note 4: among some 500 wing-tagged gulls some 20 are non-Herring gulls.
Note 5: on the first of July '01 some 9000 readings of this project.
